WARDOGS is a paid PC Early Access game. Its three-team military sandbox is playable, but development, balancing and stability work are ongoing.
What is playable now?
The core of WARDOGS is a large-scale multiplayer battle between three teams. Infantry, ground vehicles and aircraft share the battlefield, with construction and destruction changing the space around the objective.
The economy connects one life to the next: cash earned through play can fund equipment for later deployments. Helping your team, including transporting other players, is part of that loop. Persistent cash should not be mistaken for every planned metagame feature already being available.
What is still changing?
Early Access is an evolving version of the game. The Season 1 changelog changed progression and economy values from the beta, so an older guide can describe numbers that no longer apply.
BULKHEAD has described fixes and balancing as priorities. Its pre-launch discussion did not promise a fixed monthly cadence of new maps. Treat individual patch notes as the reference for what has actually changed, rather than assuming every planned feature has shipped.
How long will Early Access last?
The Steam Q&A estimates roughly one to two years. An earlier developer video discussed around 24 months. These are development estimates, and neither establishes an exact version 1.0 release date.
The developer also outlined possible base-game price increases as the game grows. Those future prices are plans, not a dated sale schedule. Check the price guide for the current US purchase options.
